Youth Orchestra of Greater Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Youth Orchestra has provided music education through orchestral programs and performance opportunities of the highest caliber since 1965.  But, FWYO is more than exceptional performances; it is  music education, music outreach and special events.  Each year, the organization serves over 300 talented Fort Worth-area musicians ages 2 to 18 through four core orchestras and supplemental programs that include chamber music ensembles, an all-level Suzuki Strings Program and an Early Childhood Music Program.   FWYO musicians experience superb orchestral and chamber music instruction from Fort Worth's most respected professional musicians, perform in world-class concert halls and gain the self-confidence and discipline necessary for a successful future.

Houston Youth Symphony-Ballet

The mission of Houston Youth Symphony (HYS) is to recruit, educate, develop and nurture young musicians and provide them the opportunity to train under professional musicians and perform in professionally conducted concerts.

Founded in 1946, Houston Youth Symphony today reaches almost 500 musicians in its four orchestras, a chamber music program for its most advanced players and after-school private and group lesson programs for talented youth in select economically disadvantaged communities. These programs and services are made possible by support from generous benefactors including foundations, public agencies, corporations and individuals.
